160 vvc engine from MG ZR
About 70k miles.
Ran very nicely before removal
Headgasket and belts were done July last year
Cam carrier just resealed and vvc timed up
Comes with inlet manifold,...

Also the 120 has the PG1 gearbox as well so that IB5 kit thing wont fix it
You can try the UJ mod to solve the sloppy linkage.

ZR was taken to Castle combe for a bit of track action. Did okay but really needs some decent tyres/brakes plus work on my hand positioning

Alot has happened although not all of it good.

Thermostat was fixed thanks to a friend who noticed that the rubber o ring on the ECP one I installed was MUCH smaller than the original...

190 might be a struggle with a vvc lump (unless you have a very optimistic dyno) thats why I'm aiming for 170 at the fly or about 145 at the wheels as that should be achievable without too much. ...

Found out the bottom crank pulley had been timed to TDC rather than the timing mark so the valves had kissed the pistons slightly on...

Got my spare exhaust camshaft reground to a sportier specification ready to fit this weekend along with doing the headgasket and belts as the engine has no history.

You can get silver/grey tiger seal so that would help cover up any mishaps

The problem is that it seems a lot of the "160" engines don't make 160 and are more about the 150-155 range. This one put out 120 at the wheels...

At the fly so about 145 at the wheels, not that ambitious for 170 at the wheels haha
