Hiya mate, how much did the mad sensor set you back? And where you get it from? I've got exactly the same problem as you had... Same symptoms everything...

Went through a puddle the other day, water sprayed up over the bonnet (puddle was like an inch deep) and down the road engine manager came on car hesitant, no power etc then light went off problem...

Drop tested the battery, it's not that.. All sensors checked and working fine, air con vents shut, at a bit of a loss now :(
