The mgf/tf also has an illuminated barrel.. maybe that could broaden your parts search a little?

Just one point to mention - in case of Rover 400 and some Rover 200 cars as well in case of MGF, barrel light is integral part of barrel and cannot be separated for use elsewhere. In this case you would need to take whole barrel, try to adopt it (in this case R200 barrel is most useful as I am not sure other barrels can be adopted at all, and this should be straight swap) and get used that you have new key for ignition.
