Who said there were any rules
If someone tells you to stop spending so much money on your car, ditch them, you don't need that kind of negativity in your life.

I do like those wide mouth grilles, would love one that still had the mg badge on though!

right its been a long ass time sine i updated this thread, ive been the vvc route and recently had it rolling road'd and it made 149hp at the flywheel, it was still a massive improvement over the 84hp engine i had before.
the engine sounds like a diesel and after inspection the inlet cams are out of tolerance and trying to find a good set is hard to find so for the time being its staying like that, since the dyno ive fitted a decent induction kit, janspeed at back and a good service but thats as far as im going.

So i thought im going to do a 1.8t conversion with the Z+F 203hp remap but its going to be a stealthy as possible like my vvc ( that shocks all the chavs)
    so no front mount
    no atmospheric dump valve

    So i bought an engine
    head gasket has gone
    turbo has play
when removing the head bolts one took the thread out with it so a new oil ladder is needed
Here's a few pictures of the engine so far and a few of my old engine
