No just plug and play, long as its all from the same car and was working on that car before taking it off. Its just a swap and job done as its all coded to each other.

okay, ive fitted all the neccersary bits, while ive been doin this the battery has still been connected, and drained and gone flat, every time i turn on ignition the scu/bcu unit starts to beep, this is still with a dead battery on, im guessing this is caused by a dead battery still being on the car?

When doing anything electronics on a car(anything) always dissconnect the power.

I would remove battery and charge it but remove ecu and leave off the car till battery is charged, this was ecu will dischange the power fully then plug in when battery is changed then connect the battery,

carfull as i did this and the alarm went off(and that thing is loud).

yah the alarm is silly loud iv had it go off before while i was under the bonnet changing a fuse my head was rite next to it lol, about the car: its all sorted now, arfter replacing all the neccesery bits (fob, scu, ecu), recharged the battery and everything is bolted up, i am glad to say everything is working fine, '' the wipers the central locking, the cars immobiliser has sortted itself out, and thankfully the engine is running again at last'' woooooooop woooooooop
