    Ex-biker

Hi from Hampshire...Just sold my bike , much to the Lady's relief, and needed something else to have fun with ! Now the owner of a 3 door, "53" plate ZR160...looking forward to getting out and about in my new (to me) beastie.

    Welcome!

    Much planned for it?

Shame about getting rid of the bike, I want a bike but my missus is not happy with the idea

haha, sorry, that came across a bit judgemental.

I think bikes are awesome machinery, and more often than not very pretty.
It's the biker mentality that gets me, I've had too many close calls of bikes cutting it close on an overtake and just missing bumpers / wings, one actually resulted in my cracking an alloy and bending a wishbone to stop him planting himself across my bonnet at 45mph
I've also lost biker friends due to lapses in concentration. (one broke his back at sub 30mph on the parade lap after finishing the Isle of Man TT)

I'll agree there are the more considerate out there, who give room and don't take the risks, they'll often give a thanks if you pull across to let them pass aswell, rather than expecting it like some sort of right, but they seem to be few and far between (maybe it's just where I live?)

But, I also expect that as a biker, you can say exactly the same about car drivers!
