    temp alarm

    Hi

Is there a way to temporary turn the alarm off on my mg zr 2005? or at least disconnected it so when the battery dies it does not do that stupid noise?

Just my car is at my moms and don't get moved much so the battery dies(for some odd reason) and have to spend 30 quid in taxi to get up there and back to replace battery to turn it off.

I did a search but still just came up with stupid answers that went else where and not on the alarm problem. my bros zr has it disabled but not sure if its due to a reply in the bcu gone or just disconnected by last owner.

Lock it with the key not the fob.
It'll arm the immobiliser but not the alarm.
I do it to mine on hot days and i want to leave the window cracked and the bug flaps open

Can you not just unplug the alarm coil?

Ok seems the alarm is going off again, is there really no way to remove the alarm or disable it without removing the replay on the bcu?
