Hi I have a few problems with my mg zr it doesn't start I was told it was the altinater when I bought it but after jumping her it still doesn't turn over just a high pitch clicky noise as if the gears jammed I don't want to see her rot away as its a nice car just not got a clue what is wrong with her any ideas guys

put it in gear and see if the engine turns when you try to rock the car. check the terminals on the starter and also the battery terminals for security
