    Water pump/thermostat

A quick question. Is the thermostat just a push fit into the back of the water pump?
    Thanks

The housing is a push fit into both the block and into the coolant rail, but has the bolt john has mentioned through the top of the thermostat casing, and two other bolts which hold the coolant rail to the back of the block which will also need to be removed to allow you to easily pull the thermostat housing out of the block.

You will probably need two new O-rings for the housing - the existing ones will probably have swelled and won't be easy to refit.
