black box!!!

Hi guys

I took my center console out today as wife knocked my clock in, well i found 2 small wires connected to the switches, one to the purple block and one on the blue block (forgot the name) well i traced the wires where one goes to a heat shrunk bulge (not sure what it is) but it leads to by the clocks and then to a black box just in the middle of the dash clocks and the time clock. would anyone know what this is?

Looks like a small laptop charger?

Not noticed that on mine had dash out few times sure its not a phone kit or something that's been added

I'm not sure, scared to try and pull it out, the 2 wires are really thin (like the phone line ones), i got to reset my speedo needle on saturday so i'll see where the other wires go at the back of the clocks.
