An open cone on a diesel? No... If the Skoda guys say a pd160 intake is best then it probably is. You don't get any induction noise with diesels mate. There is a fabia vrs derv that flies about Southend. Has a rediculous dump valve fitted.....

agreed, enclosed is the way forward on a Derv then a open cone.
if your after sound, putting a decat/straight through on makes a nice fluttering sound

Fair doze i agree a dump valve on a derv is jus..... but i suppose its down to choice on open cone with a decent CAF or a enclosed intake...
