    ZR base and "+" differences

There is always constant confusion over the variations of ZR models, so here is a definitive guide to the actual difference between the base and plus models.

    Firstly the Mk1,

The ZR+ has the following as standard...

    Front fogs.
    Electric front windows.
    Electric mirrors.
    Electric sunroof.
    Leather steering wheel.
Drivers seat height and lumbar adjustment.
    Silver ZR tailgate badge.

That's it, things like half leather Monaco trim, 3 or 5 doors, side skirts, metallic paint, air con etc, were optional extras across (ALL base and "+" models).

Wheel choices were 16 inch "hairpins" or 17 inch "straights" on (ALL base and "+" models).

The base models lacked the above spec so...

    Manual windows & mirrors.
    No front fogs.
No seat height & lumbar adjustment.
    Black ZR tailgate badge.

The electric sunroof and front fogs were optional on the base model.

The 120 petrol & 115 diesel came with discs all round and ABS with EBD as standard. The ABS with EBD was optional on the 105 petrol & 101 diesel.

All models came with a drivers airbag and "sports tuned power assisted steering".

The 160 was fully loaded with the "+" spec as standard, but also had the skirts, 17" wheels, air con, half leather Monaco trim and ABS as standard. As well as exhaust bumper heat shield & twin pipes. The electric sunroof was optional on the 160.

    Mk2 ZR+

Drivers seat height and lumbar adjustment.
    Leather steering wheel.
    Air con.
    Electric mirrors.
    Front fogs.
    CD radio.

The base lacked the above, but ALL Mk2 ZRs have electric windows and ABS with EBD as standard. The electric sunroof was optional across the range.

Skirts, 17" straights, 3 or 5 doors were options across the range as they were with the MK 1.

"Grid spoke" wheels were offered along with the "hairpin" and "straights" wheels on the Mk2.

The 160 got standard extras over the "+" like, part leather seats, 17" straights, side skirts and rear head rests as standard.

Across all ZRs both MK1 & Mk2 base, "+" or 160 there were various stereo options available such as CD, cassette, CD multi changer, MP3 etc... usually Kenwood. Also various special paint and interior options were available as part of the bespoke "Monogram" range.

The security and locking systems changed over the years with the later Mk1 onwards getting improved remote central locking.

That pretty much covers it, there was the "Atomix, "Trophy" & "Trophy SE" special additions too. They were based on the "+" models with other various subtle goodies and packages as part of the deals.

If someone would like to sticky this that would be great

Now I know what mine is lacking as only have base model but I suppose it means more to play with and improve
Insanity is doing the same thing, over and over again, but expecting different results.
