Cool My X-Power Grey Mk2 TD Trophy Thread

1st off i wanted a ZS Mk2 but just couldnt find the spec i wanted for the cash i had. So ZR was put to the top of the list. So i ended up with a 2005 TD Trophy 115+ which i bought the car in Oct '12.

I must say this is a great car and loved it right away. Alot of car for little money. A 2005 Fiesta diesel was about a thousand quid more expensive.

The car was pretty much standard apart from some crap 16s.
Have done every mod and repair myself apart from the Mafless remap.
Any feedback you have is more than welcome...
    Cheers

    Mods
    Mafless Remap
    19psi Boost
    Boost Gauge
    Open Cone Filter
    Roose Motorsport Intercooler Boost Pipe
    ZR160 backbox
    Decat
Lowered 30mm on Spax SSX Springs
    ZR160 282mm Front Brake Setup
    17" Lenso Rezin
    DeWipered Rear
    Debadged Rear
    Green + Black Front Badge
    Heko Wind Deflectors
    Carbonfiber wrapped B Pilers
    Carbonfiber wrapped door handles
    Rover 25 chrome heater vent
Rover 25 Black marble center console
Rover 25 Black Electric window switches and Gear leaver surround
    Rear JDM towing eye
    Import front number plate
    Mesh Tinted Headlights/Indicators/Fogs

    1st Pictures of the Zed

1st thing i done was to get the Fog surrounds sorted. So i carbon fiber wrapped them. Easy enough really.

Next thing was to get rid of those awful alloys. Went for a set of 16" Seat Ibiza Cupra alloys in matt black, which i had from previous car.

Next thing up was a change of badge. Only needed to do the front as the rear had been de-badged by the last owner.

Stainless Steel Catback exhaust system was hit next. Gives a nice sound on tick over and a great sound around 3,000rpm when your gunning it.

Brakes were tackled next. Went for the ZR160 fronts. Easy enough job really, apart form one of the standard discs refusing to come off.
    Angle grinder sorted that! LOL

More Vinyl wrapping after that. Fancied something easier. Door handles, B pillars, Fuel flap and interior door handles all done.

Was saving to do the suspension but my MAF decided to fail. So i thought instead of getting a new one i may just get a MAFless Remap and up the power at the same time. Done my Mark Sterling at MAD Tuning (top bloke). So Boost Gauge was next up.
This job was a pain in the arse! Tried making it look as OEM as possible.

Cheapy open cone air filter was next. Nice like dump valve sound when u change gears which wasnt expected

Now finally the car gets lowered! After much thought and reading reviews from other ZR owners i went for Spax SSX 30mm. Live in the countryside and the roads are abit shit so any bigger a drop would be stupid! Happy with the drop and its now settled at a good height.

Wheel change was next. Decided on 17" Lenso Reizen, White with polished lip.

DeWipered at the rear, which really suits the Mk2s but will be goin back on soon for the winter! lol

After about 2 weeks the whole white wheel thing was doing my head in and didnt really suit the car or look im going for. So out came the matt black! While i was there the calipers got a lick of Focus ST Orange to make them stand out behind the black.

Raided a Rover 25 and got all this for £30 (Seats are from a 5 door and are being made into chairs for my Garage)

Headlight, Indicator and Fog Light Tints.

Fitted a Roose Motorsport Intercooler hose. Oil and filter change.

Added the Site stickers. Prob the best mod to date! lol

There was a few things i never took photos of. Like taking the Wrap of the fog surrounds and painting then, fitting wind deflectors and Fixing the Massive Dent the previous owner put in the passenger side sill.
    As Kinda seen here...

Not a bad repair if i do say so myself lol

    So Whats Next???
Well the only thing i have on my mind is a Laguna Splitter. Thats it, but knowing me as well as i do, ill come up with something!

Thanks for taking the time to look at my thread. Feedback very welcome.
