    HID lights

    Hi guys,

The Z is going through a makeover when she is home.

Coilovers, refurbed wheels, refurbed calipers (again), headlight restored, bumper/bonnet gap reduced, etc.

The other thing I am planning is HID conversion kit..

I don't want to be the person who gets flashed at because they think my full beams are on, or the bulbs are pointing too high.. BUT I do want WHITE lights, not yellow.

What bulb is best to fit my description?

    I don't understand the 5000k, 8000k, etc..

    Please help haha!!

    Cheers

Yeah, didn't even cross my mind hahaha!!

Most new cars have lights that are too bright anyway..

With fitting the HID's yourself, MOT-wise it's a 10 minute job to change back to standard for MOT if neccesary.

Sure someone will help us out with a reply soon :P

Dan, I've literally read your guide about an hour ago. Made notes of what tools I need, etc.
I am ready to do the work, just need the HID kit.

I've seen yours (5k) but not seen the others like 6k, 7k.. is higher number more bright or white? or?

Think it goes more blue the higher the number, if you go too high you best watch out or the plod will pull you for it

If that's case, I'll probably only look at 7k max? Still don't know. I'll google some images when I'm home from work haha

Nice one Dan, will look at 5k or 6k then!

Take it you've never had issues with popo? Also, are these passable on MOT or do you hope for a tester in a good mood/friend? haha

    Cheers
