    License plates

Right, sorry I've been asking loads of questions lately but..

What is the law on license plates and their spacing?

E.g. If a plate was MR54 NDY could it be (legally) made to MR 54NDY (Mr Sandy) or maybe MR5 4NDY (Mrs Andy)

This is not a plate I'm looking at, haha....., but want to know law with spacing.

I've seen a few plates doing around that look like they are "MR xxxxx" or "MR5 xxxx"

    Cheers

If you want a show plate on your car the best way is to get a normal set for the mot and leave them in your boot when you get pulled just say sorry I left them on the over night when I went to a show lol

How does that work on a snowy Wednesday in December/jan

I used to run Greman Pressed plates on my MK2 for years, but it's not worth the hassle anymore just gives the police a reason to pull you and go looking for problems.

I have got MG 02 OZR. I moved the O so it read MG 02O ZR and I got done! Everything else was right, size, font etc. Also if they want, they can have DVLA withdraw the plate and you have then got to fork out for another normal plate before you can drive the car (plus the fine as well) again. Just not worth the hassle. Just because other people do it and have got away with it doesn't mean you will, I know I found out the hard way!!! Once they have pulled you, the number goes on the computer so if you are a habitual transgressor then you will lose the plate so the 'I have been to a show and forgot' wont work for long.
