    Sub/Amp

May be getting a sub/amp kit
Unsure on what wiring I will get with it (2nd hand)

How does it work in terms of wiring it up?

Amp will be placed in boot, as you can imagine. I have an aftermarket CD player/headunit already.

If I get this I'll get round to uprating my other speakers

    PLEASE HELP I HATE ELECTRICS!

You will run the red lead from the positive on the battery through the bulk head to the amp in your boot. The blue ( remote on) goes from the back of your head unit to the amp, RCA from back of the head unit to amp, black earth from amp to a metal part in boot and then speaker cables from amp to speakers. It's pretty straight forward to do

Ok, cheers. I think I get all of that except "speaker cables from amp to speakers" - is that to each speaker I want to use or the sub speaker(s)?
It's a sub with built-in amp if that's any difference.

How many terminals does the amp have for speakers or is it already wired into the sub?

I am picking it up in about 30 mins.

I assume its wired in to the sub, as it's an all-in-one thing. I might be wrong haha!

Thanks Brooneye, will post again soon when I have got it.
I will probably have a look myself, see what wires I've got, etc. and then come crying back with questions

The diagram you have drawn is spot on Ben the only thing you need to know is if it's wired or has the terminals that you need to wire into. Hope that helps, if not just ask again buddy

make sure you use a fuse on the power cable (nearer to the battery the better)
