next up, need to look at some mods, was going to be an exhaust to give her a growl, but that can wait a while given the above, unless someone wants to donate one lol.

I think decent air filter is next, that should give my engine some kind of sound (I hope lol)
Open cone filter for noise (been told open cones only benefit from 1800cc engines +, and mainly turbos) If you do go for an open cone, try to keep as far from the engine as possible. If you don't have ABS, put it over there haha
Enclosed induction - performance (no noise from mine, can't hear anything over my exhaust haha)

    Get a straight-through s/s exhaust

    wow that looks good

I fit a universal filter to my car, it makes some grin worthy noise, but smelt a bit funny when the engine was warm. Will have to look at it again this weekend

So i worked on my bargain mk2 project, these are all the issues it had and are now fixed...

    - Central locking
    - Rear boot light
    - Heater only working on settings 1 and 2
    - 2 bulbs gone out in odo cluster
    - Boot hinge wiring split
    - 2 air vents fallen out of clips
    - Checked SCU, replayed a relay and mounted it upside down in a sealed bag (something all later ZR owners should do to prevent the common SCU damage!)
    - Painted rusty drum brakes

All of them were small issues and didn't cost me anything to fix apart from the relay, I then gave the car and engine bay a detail. The only thing I'm going to do is paint the wheels silver and throw on some lowering springs and jobs a good 'un.

Hmm maybe, I don't really want to spend any money on it lol (apart from maintenance costs) as its just going to be a workhorse. It came with a sub and amp, so I might try and swap that for a back box with someone.
