The knockings most likely from wear on the Vvc mechanism. An ex rover master tech friend of mine said the noisier the better as the mechanisms free er and makes it quicker, myth or not it's normal...

Hi all, I've got a 1.8 vvc zed that won't start. Was running fine Monday night then yesterday morning it just wouldn't start.

I can hear the fuel pump priming with the ignition when turning over...

Have you still got the Vvc cylinder head mate??

This happened to me, the earth strap from the battery to the body had broken. If that's ok unbolt it from the body and clean the contact surface up with some wire wool or emery cloth mate

Whenever your ready to sell and I can get the money together. How much would you be looking for posted??

I'd check the crank first mate, easy enough to do. Does Torque allow you to see live data?

Had this on my zed!! Found a broken crank sensor wire was the fault!! Do you have a diagnostic reader with live data function?? If so use the live data to see if the rpm changes from 0 when you turn...

I work over beadles man not far from there. As for car meets there's nothing really brand specific but there's usually a lot of people meeting up at odean or around that area

The two plugs were from the look which was from an air con car and this one doesn't have air con. Put a new battery on, abs light goes out now but car won't bloody start :(
