    air ride on a ZR....??

I've got to the point now where my cars pretty modified..

its running nearly 400BHP and fun to drive. HOWEVER, its pretty low and there's lots of speed cushions around my area.
I hate having to drive 1mph over the cushions to prevent hitting them.

considering buying air ride suspension so i can drive low and raise the car to avoid obstacles. done a quick video to see how it could look.

    WHAT YOU THINK...?????

I've not looked into it myself but what would the handling be like? Its not something I would like to get wrong, I would recommend getting it professionally done rather than buying a kit for peace of mind. You would want to make sure it could handle the weight and your car has a different weight ratio than a standard ZR. I would phone a company who deal with it and have them talk you through it.

It's air ride.. No worrying about weights etc, as the fronts heavier with the t16 lumps just means may need to put in more air.
Air was originally designed for lorrys. These carry 10-20 tons and air is ok for them. Don't think I'm gonna have any issues with regards to weight or setup.

But the ride quality is one thing I am needing to look into. Think its gonna be a harsh ride.
But after using coilovers for past 2 years can't beach worse.

I was flicking through jap performance the other day and an article made reference to coilovers that had an air set up aswell to lift the front for bumps ect, might be worth looking into that.

Yeah mate its called - static+ made by a company called stance solutions.
It's a pod that fits above the cool spring and lifts approx 52mm

I had planned on buying a set, but they don't do a set for the rears

But tbh tho, there 360 for a pair, without compressors, tanks etc so if they did rears it would be approx £800 plus the cost of decent coilovers.
My full air system is 1k and I sell my GAZ for 370 to so not expensive.

Cheers for the heads up tho i:
