    Was it one of them crap chinese things off ebay, if so i would get a better one, i had one and it would not find any errors then the next day if found a miss fire but refused to clear it, i put in a 30$ one obd2 and it worked, had a few errors and cleared them, they have never came back.

    It's one I got from Euro Car Parts.....however it may well be crap, so I'm going see if I can get someone with a better reader to have another go. Last event of the season is 10 days away, and if I can't fix this problem, will have to source another car!

    Have to checked to made sure you have a earth (sent from pin 68 at ecu, smaller plug) to the relay pin 86? The other 3 should be live while cracking. Have you took pipe off bottom of fuel filter to confirm there's so fuel there (I.e filter blocked)

    John DQ, thanks for your suggestions - yes I have an earth at relay pin 86, and yes when I 'hot wire' the pump, I have fuel coming out the engine side of the filter. If there is an earth at pin 86, does that mean the ECU is ok?
