Red face Track ZR's replacement- race build R8 200 with ZR's heart!

Hi again I wasn't going to post this build on here as not a ZR but as no one has posted for about a month ive changed my mind.
OK guys hopefully this will work with pics etc so here we go. I finally found a 3 door non sun roof 200 to start a trackday build with and hopefully progress onto some proper racing with since I got my National B race license at start of this year I've been doing trackdays for many years now using a few cars along the way those being a Evo 9 GT, Evo 7 RS Sprint, MK5 RS2000 and my MK2 MG ZR160 that will be the base for parts for this build which some of you may have seen on other forums. Anyway without going into too much of a history lesson will get straight onto the car I'm sure you will be most interested in. I've been looking around for a while for the right car and am sure I've found it at last. Its a one owner car with 68k on the clock, I got it from a trader who pulled it out of the owners garage since he passed away due to illness so its been sitting indoors since 2013 and thankfully for me its completely rust free so be OK to meet MSA regs. So here us the car in question.....

Thank god those pic's worked :cool Since the weather has been rubbish this week not got much down to it but i had removed the engine etc from the ZR ready to go into the 214 but got a hell of a lot to do yet so dont have a time frame but be nice to get it on a test day before winter hits......

Hope this thread will interest a few of you so will keep you all updated but as i do everything myself from building the engine, wiring, painting etc etc (only thing i dont you is mapping) im normally a bit slower than others but the plan in my head is basically the same look as a Rover 216 GTI Dunlop car, my colour will be White and Blue.... I think :unsure

Got a bit of time on the car today at last, got the inside stripped with a bit of help from my boy (he has taken a shine to the R8, says when hes finished his Go Karts will race the Rover) and all the sound deadening etc out was way more than in the ZR.....

Also started having a mark-up of where everything will go etc so can get the floor bars welded in ready for seats, get the wiring loom made, battery mounted etc etc....

Finally got bit done to the 214 today been so busy lately. Anyway got the car to work so i could remove the drive train and start mocking up for the new engine/wiring and will be painting the engine bay/front panel white before the 1800 goes in.

    Up on the ramp....

Got the other camber arms today and glad to say they will work perfect got plenty of room for adjustment from standard to around -3 degrees (could go more with coilovers i think as trailing arm hits the lower shock body) So thats one job sorted on to the next hundreds

    Then onto the wiring.....

This is only about 3/4 stuff will need not all has turned up yet but this is enough to get the engine to the bulk head done. Im using Deutsch DT series motorsport multi plugs to on the engine side of the loom to the car side so should the engine need to come out is just a case of disconnecting 2 plug and can lift it out with all wiring etc on it. I also got the factory terminals for the engine bay fuse box so can use the original multi plugs that plug into the bottom so theres no bodging needed i will just use the original plugs with new wires and terminals so my ECU can power the fuel pump, main relay etc etc
