Charcoal Filter

Hi folks

I'm new to the forum and have an ZR105 1.4. Can anyone tell me about the charcoal filter at the back of engine. Does it need cleaning or replaced. My ZR has done 135k miles
How difficult is it to clean out.

From what i have read it just keeps the vaper of the fuel from going into the engine bay, most just disconnect it (not sure why) but even to this day from new i've yet to hear of anyone replacing it.

Only time need do anything with it is if the electronic solenoid fails
