VERY IMPORTANT!!! - Fast Show 2014 meeting details!

Please take five minutes to read this - it's not much to ask considering the amount of time it takes to organise these shows for you.

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION CAREFULLY

    Hotel Ibis, Wellingborough, NN8 2DR
    7:00am, Sunday 23th March

    1) Right, the first main point - PLEASE be on time. We will be leaving the car park no later than 7:30am, so please don't be late, as if you aren't there by the time we leave then you WON'T get your stand pass and/or ticket and subsequently WON'T get into the show, never mind onto our stand. The earlier people are there, the more time we'll have to dish out tickets, passes and any additional information.

    2) Please have respect for the other people who are staying in the hotel: the sound of a 1.4 K-Series with an open cone isn't going to impress anyone, let alone granny at 7am in the morning. Yes, we understand that you enjoy the rumble of your Cherry Bomb and some epic sik dirty dubstep basslines blasting out of yo' woofwoof, however there's a time and a place.

    3) If you're going to be drinking with us at the hotel the night before, please be responsible and bear in mind that you'll have to be up and behind the wheel quite early. The majority of us enjoy a wee social bevvy, however be sensible, and don't run the risk of losing your licence, ditching your pride and joy, killing yourself or even worse, crashing into McDonald's and ruining Stuartys four Double Sausage & Egg McMuffins.

    4) Before we leave we will be assigning each member a rough position within the convoy - this is to aid the organisation of the stand upon arrival (the idea just now is to get the Event Organisers to leave first, followed by non-ZRs, then the ZRs and ZSs towards the back of the convoy so that they're in last and can go towards the front of the stand based on my proposed stand layout). Please try to stay in the stated order, i.e. please don't try to overtake or cut in front of people to try to get in first. It is important that cars arrive in an order which will ease the pain of laying out the stand, and it is VERY important that the myself and fellow event organisers are at the head of the queue, as it's us who have to set everything up. It's also basic common sense that driving like a tit will increase your chances of either you binning your car or getting pulled by what will undoubtedly be a heavy police presence.

    5) Upon arrival, we'll have the unenviable task of arranging the best part of 50 cars, so please have patience as the stand is set up. Any car owner who leaves the stand area before it has been organised will NOT be considered for attendance at future shows. Organising the stand for maximum visual impact is a time consuming (read: thankless!) process which requires the co-operation of those whose cars are involved, so please respect the organisers and your fellow show attendees by a) staying within the stand area until it has been set up properly, and b) moving your car as and when requested by the events staff.

    6) Don't be an arse. Remember, you are representing the MG ZR Owners Club/MG ZR & ZS Apprication Groups, and are expected to act appropriately. We don't care if you have the drift skills of Ken Block, or if your favourite past-time is crapping in your own hand and rubbing it in policemen's faces - any antisocial behaviour or general *******ism will just result in you being asked to leave, subsequently rendering you as banned from attendance at future shows with us. Have respect for your fellow attendees and let us enjoy the day.

    7) The Events Organisers' word is final. However, we don't bite, so if you do have an issue which you would like to address (whether it is with an EO, a fellow attendee or even an event-related matter) then please feel free to speak to a member of the EO team on the day as we'll do our best to help. It's better to rectify any issues on the day rather than drag them back onto the forum upon your return home!

    8) DON'T LEAVE VALUABLES WHERE THEY CAN BE STOLEN. If you're leaving your car and there's no one else around the stand, put anything you don't want stolen out of view and not somewhere that sticky-fingered little chavs can lift it. Many things have been stolen from people cars over the years, they'll lift anything of any value, whether it be monetary or sentimental!

    9) At the end of the day, please don't be one of the ignorant jebends who leave the place looking like a dumpsite. Failure to clean up any of your rubbish will result in not only our future attendance at the respective show being jeopardised, but also your own. Anyone caught leaving litter or any other general unpleasantness at their arses will be banned from attending any future MG ZR Owners Club/MG ZR & ZS Apprication Groups events.

    10) If you have space in your boot, bring camping chairs for our seating area!!!

That's about it folks, apologies for the long-winded post, however the reputation of the site rests on our shoulders, so we want to make the day as big a success as possible
